FROM ICELAND TO IRELAND
Updated: Jun 21, 2022
Some great Photos from Tyrone Fabrications recent project with Farice connecting Iceland to Ireland with our State of the art Solutions for their IRIS System which is due to go live in 2023. "The IRIS system will be ready for service in the beginning of 2023 and will be the third submarine fibre optic cable system connecting Iceland with Europe. The system will provide further redundancy in telecommunication connection between Iceland and Europe, with low latency connections around 10.5 ms, between Reykjavík and Dublin. The IRIS system will be integrated into Farice’s network in Iceland and Europe to enhance the network and provide comprehensive, diverse, and secure connectivity between Farice’s network POPs in Iceland and Europe." All of our fibre exchanges, modular data centres, signalling equipment rooms and other solutions come with various specifications and can be designed to meet the customers specific needs. All Data centres are securely built to house various IT infrastructure. This typically includes networked computers, data storage, servers, switches and many more components necessary to provide a full scale IT network solution and are equipped with the highest standard of equipment including:
• Remote alarm systems – Ideal for security around remote areas etc. • Generator system for power back-up • Fibre management system • Air cooling system, which is highly important for climate control • Intruder and access control system • Fire alarm and aspiration system • DC power Insulation – converted power to data equipment. • UPS system with battery back-up – this supplies an uninterrupted power source for a dedicated time period, leaving equipment running efficiently.
